This research is developed around the experiences of those called patients and all possible and impossible ways to live, communicate and narrate their illness. It includes an investigation of both biomedical diagnoses, as well as the experience of patients with this type of disease. It is proposed as an attempt to know and describe how pain meanings in cancer are constructed from the perspective and experience of the so-called patient; a pain that is indisputably found in the body and that in turn is expressed from the notion of the body as a narrative of the disease. The pain starts from the questioning of the legitimization of biomedical knowledge, but also includes a social dimension that should not be ignored. The obvious can go from being the know to the unknown, to precisely ground the anthropological exercise: detach the routine look to understand and interpret the aspects and representations of what is called typical, of the obvious.
