| Summary: | En la historia del altiplano Cundiboyacense, el cacicazgo de Guatavita siempre ha sido uno de los más mencionados e importantes, debido a todas las historias de los rituales en su laguna y el material orfebre que en estos relates se presentaba; pero, a pesar de esta fama, una de las zonas que se consideran centrales dentro de este cacicazgo, el actual municipio de Guatavita, no presenta gran cantidad de estudios arqueológicos, aparte de un estudio de hallazgos fortuitos a los alrededores de la laguna histórica de Guatavita y un análisis de estructuras en piedra cerca del embalse de Tominé. Por esta razón, esta investigación ejecutó el análisis espacial que se centró en las áreas del municipio de Guatavita que rodean el embalse de Tominé, con el fin de identificar las posibles áreas de ocupación y así orientar próximas investigaciones hacia áreas con un mayor potencial arqueológico.
In the history of the Altiplano Cundiboyacense, the chieftainship of Guatavita always has been one of the most mentioned
and important, this for all the tales of the rituals in his lake and the goldsmith material that was presented in those tales; but despite of this fame, one of the areas that was considered central in this chieftain ship, the current municipality of Guatavita, don't present a big number of studies, apart of a study of incidental findings around the historic lake of Guatavita and an
analysis of stone structures near the Tomine's reservoir. For this reason, this research executed the spatial analysis that
focused on the areas of the municipality of Guatavita that surround the Tomine's reservoir, in order to identify possible areas of occupation and thus guide future research towards areas with greater archaeological potential
