| Summary: | The present study eva!uates the investigative practice of the teachers of the CECAR Caribbean University Law
program during the period 2013 to 2018. For this, it was necessary to: identify the number of professors in the plant
and chair who have carríed out research in the last five years years, the type of research carried out and its
publications in indexed and non-indexed journals, as well as it was possible to determine the participation of
teachers in congresses and other academic events and their participation modality. In the same way, the
characterization of the research group existing in the CECAR Law program and the nurseries assigned to the
program was carried out. The barriers and unmet needs that, according to the teachers, impede the investigative
practice of the teachers of the CECAR Law program, íncluding the development of competencies for this work, were
identified as variables.
El presente estudio evalúa la práctica investigativa de los docentes del programa de Derecho de la Corporación Universitaria del Caribe CECAR durante el periodo 2013 a 2018. Para ello fue necesario: identificar el número de profesores de planta y cátedra que han realizado investigaciones en los últimos cinco años, el tipo de investigaciones realizadas y sus publicaciones en revistas indexadas y no indexadas, así como también fue posible determinar la participación de los docentes en congresos y otros eventos académicos y su modalidad de participación. De igual manera se realizó la caracterización del grupo de investigación existente en el programa de Derecho CECAR y los semilleros adscritos al programa. Se identificaron como variables !as barreras y necesidades insatisfechas que de acuerdo con los maestros impiden la practica investigativa de los docentes del programa de Derecho en CECAR, incluyendo el desarrollo de competencias para esta labor.
