| Summary: | The graduates represent a unit of analysis, from which the academic programs offered by universities can evaluate their educational effects. Thus, the objective of this research was to evaluate the results of the Master Degree in Education, research modality from 2014 to 2016. The research was developed from the qualitative perspective and sorne quantitative elements were integrated. The instruments used during the information gathering process were the online questionnaire, the semi-structured inteNiew and the documentary analysis matrix. The tested population consisted of 119 graduates of the program, the dean of the Faculty of Education, and an employer. The main resuits of the study that were obtained showed that people who studied the Master degree program can notice a significant improvement in their salary conditions and the qualification of professional knowledge. However, a low particípation in professional practice was identified in academic and research production after getting the diploma. As a part of the recommendations of the study, the importance of managing a program or project within the Facu!ty or Master Degree far the accompanirnent and monitoring of its graduates was established.
Los graduados representan una unidad de análisis, a partir de la cual los programas académicos ofertados por las instituciones de educación superior pueden evaluar parte de sus alcances formativos. por tanto, el objetivo de esta investigación se orientó en Evaluar los resultados de la Maestría en Educación, modalidad investigación en sus graduados del periodo 2014 al 2016. La investigación se desarrolló desde la perspectiva cualitativa con algunos elementos cuantitativos. Los instrumentos empleados durante el proceso de recolección de información fueron el cuestionario en línea, la entrevista semiestructurada y la matriz de análisis documental. la muestra estuvo integrada por 119 graduados del programa, la decana de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación y una empleadora. Los principales resultados del estudio, arrojaron que el cursar la Maestría para el graduado le ha representado una mejora significativa en sus condiciones salariales y la cualificación de conocimientos profesionales. No obstante, se identificó una débil participación en el ejercicio profesional en actividades de producción académica e investigativa posterior a su titulación. Como parte de las recomendaciones del estudio se estableció la importancia de gestionar un programa o proyecto al interior de la Facultad o la Maestría para el acompañamiento y seguimiento de sus graduados.
