| Summary: | Just a few meters from the urban perimeter of ltagüí, where the home public services have a practically total coverage and optimum quality affected, is the village of La María, a territory that historically has been constituted amid marked phenomenoa of population, vulnerable population , illegal settlements, high-risk areas and care in the provision of public services, where the lack of adequate drinking water service, in terms of quality, continuity and coverage, is perhaps one of the most critical.This paper explores the main problems associated with this complex problem and raises some alternative solutions. In addition, resume the main findings of the study that aimed to investigate the tensions associated with the supply of drinking water in the village of La María in the municipality of ltagüí, between its demographic dynamics and the basic dimensions of development, and then formulate strategies and alternatives for the situations identified, so that they serve as input for the design of water and sewage master plans, as well as for territorial planning exercises.
A tan solo pocos metros del perímetro urbano de ltagüí, donde los servicios públicos domiciliarios tienen una cobertura prácticamente total y óptimos estándares de calidad. se encuentra la vereda la María, territorio que históricamente se ha constituido en medio de marcados fenómenos de inmigración, población vulnerable, asentamientos ilegales, zonas de alto riesgo y carencias en fa prestación de servicios públicos, donde la falta de un adecuado servicio de agua potable, en términos de calidad, continuidad y cobertura, es quizás uno de los más críticos. En este trabajo se explora los principales problemas asociados a esta compleja problemática y plantea algunas alternativas de solución. Además, resume los principales hallazgos de un estudio que tuvo como propósito indagar sobre las tensiones asociadas al suministro de agua potable en la vereda La María del municipio de ltagüí, entre su dinámica demográfica y las dimensiones básicas del desarrollo, para luego formular estrategias y alternativas para las situaciones identificadas, de manera que sirvan de insumo para el diseño de planes maestro de acueducto y alcantarillado, así como para ejercicios de planificación territorial.
