El proyecto de grado titulado "GENERACIÓN Y VALIDACIÓN DE ÁBACOS PARA DIMENSIONAR VIGAS ALVEOLADAS TOMANDO COMO BASE PERFILES COMERCIALES EN COLOMBIA" tuvo como alcance el cálculo de la serie de ábacos de dimensionamiento de vigas alveoladas con aberturas hexagonales, tomando como base la serie de perfiles IPE y HEA, con calidad de acero bajo especificación ASTM A36 y ASTM A572 Gr 50 y límite de flecha L/250 y L/300. También, la validación de los resultados obtenidos mediante ensayos a flexión de cinco especímenes representativos de los cuales se obtuvieron registros de carga y deflexión en el centro de la luz. Todo lo anterior, con la finalidad de brindar herramientas que faciliten el análisis y diseño de estos elementos, además de impulsar el uso del acero dentro de la construcción en Colombia.
The scope of the degree project entitled "GENERATION AND VALIDATION OF ABICS TO SIZE HINGED BEAMS BASED ON COMMERCIAL PROFILES IN COLOMBIA" was the calculation of the series of abacuses for the sizing of hollow beams with hexagonal openings, based on the IPE and HEA series of profiles, with steel quality under ASTM A36 and ASTM A572 Gr 50 specifications and L/250 and L/300 deflection limit. Also, the validation of the results obtained through bending tests of five representative specimens from which load and deflection records were obtained in the center of the span. All of the above, with the purpose of providing tools to facilitate the analysis and design of these elements, in addition to promoting the use of steel in construction in Colombia.
