Ésta investigación propone una visión mas amplia del crecimiento del bienestar y su impacto sobre la pobreza y desigualdad para la cual se aborda el marco teórico referido al crecimiento pro-pobre propuesto por Kawany & Son (2008) quienes implementan una medida que relaciona estos tres elementos, a partir de esto se realiza el análisis para Colombia en el periodo comprendido 2002-2011 a nivel nacional y departamental estableciendo las diversas tipologías de crecimiento pro-pobre y la evolución de la pobreza medida por el indicador de brecha Foster, Greer and Thorbecke y las politicas de pobreza implementadas para el periodo
