Consiste en parte del sistema nervioso que controla las acciones involuntarias tales como los latidos cardíacos y el ensanchamiento o estrechamiento de los vasos sanguíneos, el estómago, el hígado, los pulmones entre otros muy importantes. Este sistema se divide en dos grupos el simpático y el parasimpático. Las funciones de uno complementan las funciones del otro.
