El objetivo central de este trabajo es determinar el costo de oportunidad para los consumidores, generado por la ineficiencia del sistema cuando asigna el precio de despeje en el Mercado de Energía mayorista. En el trabajo se estudia el comportamiento de los agentes que actúan en el mercado al igual que el sistema en general, y se analizan las principales variables como son: crecimiento de la demanda, los costos, los precios de despeje del Mercado de Energía Mayorista y del mercado de contratos, etc.
