ABSTRACT: Obstructive hydrocephalus is a disease that affects neonates and consists on the obstruction of a cavity inside the brain called Silvius Aqueduct and that prevents the removal of cerebrospinal fluid from the inside of the skull, generating excess pressure on the brain. For the treatment of this disease, neurosurgeons are initially trained with animal or cadaveric tissue and even so, it is necessary that they be under the supervision of more experienced specialists in their first operations with humans; because more practice is required to acquire the skill. This work develops the design of a device that simulates the pressure and flow conditions in the Silvio aqueduct through mechanical and control systems. The results show that the device can maintain a flow of between 0.32 and 0.71 ml / min which are the normal conditions at which spinal fluid flows. In addition, it allows the flow to be set at a given pressure to recreate the conditions required by the specialist.
