Funcionamiento ejecutivo en un grupo de adolescentes expuestos y no expuesto a plan lector intensivo

Los resultados presentaron diferencias significativas en la ejecución de procesos cognoscitivos de inhibición, comprensión del sentido figurado y planeación. Las funciones ejecutivas restantes evaluadas presentaron un rendimiento homogéneo. Estos resultados parecen relacionarse con variables socioeconómicas, del contexto educativo familiar y del ambiente escolar como factores que influyen en la correcta implementación del plan lector y por consiguiente del efecto que pueda llegar a tener sobre el rendimiento cognoscitivo de los estudiantes. Mediante un diseño ex post facto de cohortes retrospectivas, se evalúa el rendimiento en el funcionamiento ejecutivo, con la Batería Neuropsicológica de Funciones Ejecutivas y Lóbulos Frontales BANFE-2, en 68 adolescentes distribuidos en dos grupos, uno de 33 adolescentes entre los 12 y los 16 años expuestos a un plan lector de 11 o más libros, comparado con el rendimiento de otro grupo de 35 adolescentes de características sociodemográficas similares no expuestos a un plan lector. Los resultados presentaron diferencias significativas en la ejecución de procesos cognoscitivos de inhibición, comprensión del sentido figurado y planeación. Las funciones ejecutivas restantes evaluadas presentaron un rendimiento homogéneo. Estos resultados parecen relacionarse con variables socioeconómicas, del contexto educativo familiar y del ambiente escolar como factores que influyen en la correcta implementación del plan lector y por consiguiente del efecto que pueda llegar a tener sobre el rendimiento cognoscitivo de los estudiantes.
