Esta investigación evaluó los efectos de la misma y del día sin carro, sobre el ruido vehicular en una de las vías más importantes de la ciudad. Los resultados mostraron que esta nueva medida no redujo el flujo de automóviles, ni tampoco el nivel de ruido vehicular, en tanto durante el día sin carro hubo mayor flujo de transporte público (buses y taxis) y, consecuentemente, niveles de ruido más altos, los cuales superan ampliamente las normas nacionales y pueden considerarse como problema de salubridad pública. Bogotá city traffic has been having progressive circulation constraint measures and a newdetermination was taken in January of 2009 which banned the mobilization of 40% of the privatecars during working days. This research evaluated the traffic noise in one of the most importantavenues of the city because of this measure and the no car day.
