| Summary: | The University of Santander has a privileged area of natural resources and environmental policy addressed by the department GREEN UDES; which promotes, coordinates and conducts research and initiatives aimed at building a positive attitude towards the care, development, and environmental preservation. Hence the need to establish the financial impact for the design of a Nature Trail arises, which required determining the value of the implementation through the technical and economic evaluation was possible to know the final cost of the investment.
For the development of this project were carried out technical field visits, photographic records, meetings with experts and with the landscape designer; where actions and needs were identified, compared to the approval of architectural design. The project proposes a route with minimal intervention for educational and instructional purposes, scientists primarily for administrative academic community and the general public, to generate membership and ecological awareness. The proposal includes activities to promote contact with nature through viewpoints towards the city and the hill, educational and thematic stations, among others. The access area will be the only major intervention with colorful trees and terraced with wooden buildings, organically and reflects the spirit of the project.
Finally it was concluded that this project will provide the community an added value, to mitigate the impact of the carbon footprint produced by the operation of the University, as it will allow them to live a learning experience and natural coexistence with the environment in a harmoniously way.
La Universidad de Santander cuenta con un área privilegiada de recursos naturales y una política ambiental direccionada por el departamento de UDES VERDE; el cual promueve, coordina y realiza acciones e investigaciones tendientes a forjar la actitud positiva hacia el cuidado, la promoción, y la preservación ambiental. De allí surge la necesidad de establecer el impacto financiero para el diseño de un Sendero Ecológico, la cual requirió determinar el valor de la puesta en marcha por medio de la evaluación técnica y económica que hizo posible conocer el costo final de la inversión.
Para el desarrollo de este proyecto se llevaron a cabo visitas técnicas al terreno, registros fotográficos, encuentros con expertos y con el diseñador paisajista; donde se determinaron acciones y necesidades, frente a la aprobación del diseño arquitectónico. El proyecto plantea un recorrido con mínima intervención con fines educativos, científicos y didácticos destinados principalmente a la comunidad académico administrativa y al público en general, para generar pertenencia y conciencia ecológica. La propuesta incluye actividades para promover el contacto con la naturaleza por medio de miradores hacia la ciudad y el cerro, estaciones educativas y temáticas, entre otros. La zona de acceso será la única de mayor intervención con árboles de gran colorido y un aterrazado con construcciones en madera, de manera orgánica y que refleje el espíritu del proyecto.
Finalmente se concluyó que este proyecto entregará a la comunidad un valor agregado, al mitigar el impacto de la huella de carbono producida por el funcionamiento de la Universidad, al igual que les permitirá vivir una experiencia de aprendizaje y convivencia natural con el medio ambiente de forma armónica.
